The Magic Order Review --- Is magic drawing you in?
Welcome to The Magic Order!
I just finished reading The Magic Order. With a mix of Dexter level bloody murders and Harry Potter magic spells/dark forces, this trade paperback is sure to delight!
The basis of the story is about magicians who live as normal humans by day and protect us from dark forces at night. This story details a dark force that is taking out the Magic Order very quickly and efficiently with a Shape Shifting assassin. The team has to act fast and illicit the help of a “retired” magician the Moonstone brother, Gabriel.
While trying to pick my next read, I was browsing the shelves and spotted the title first. Who isn’t fascinated by magic and magicians?? The fun and my own fascination with magic drew me into this title. Who watched David Copperfield back in the day (or even today in Vegas)? I know I am not the only one. According to the Forbes list of Highest-Paid Celebrities, Copperfield ranks in the top 50 coming in at #37 this year (see the full list here).
I feel that magic has a way of drawing people in which is probably why it is being used more frequently. If you do a search for the term ‘magic’ on the Google ngram, you will notice an upward trend of print/books that contain the term ‘magic’. Anyone spot the Batman? LOL
If you like a good magical tale, make sure to pick up The Magic Order next time you are in!
I definitely give The Magic Order 5 out of 5 wands.
